ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: INK AND THORN: CAPTURING THE ESSENCE OF TEXAS CACTI
On our journey to Montana we passed through the state of Texas making a memorable stop in the charming town of Bridgeport. One of our delightful stops along the way was at a park nestled within this Texan community. During our visit to Bridgeports park I took Cooper our furry friend for a stroll around the expansive grounds eventually making our way to the designated dog-run area. Adjacent to the dog park I noticed a cluster of cactus plants their spiky forms adding a touch of desert charm to the landscape. Intrigued by the unique sight I felt inspired to capture the cactis beauty through the lens of my camera. Remembering the captivating effect of infrared photography I decided to experiment with this technique to showcase the cacti in a new light. With Cooper happily trotting alongside me I carefully framed the cluster of cacti in my viewfinder adjusting the settings on my camera to capture the scene in infrared. As I clicked the shutter button I couldnt help but feel a sense of excitement eager to see how the infrared imagery would enhance the natural beauty of the cacti. After snapping several photos Cooper and I continued our exploration of the park marveling at the sights and sounds of our surroundings. As we bid farewell to Bridgeport and continued our journey to Montana I carried with me the cherished memories of our time spent amidst the cacti a testament to the unexpected wonders waiting to be discovered in the heart of Texas.
